A plea for diversity, the opportunity for personal and financial growth
The United States melting pot attracts talent the world over creating seemingly endless opportunities to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and ideologies. We must embrace this difference because it is precisely what gives us the most value.
I co-founded Tessera Venture Partners as a venture capital firm started by founders of color in order to seek out the best startups that also value diversity. We have found that doing so is not only good for society, but also good for business as study after study demonstrate the rich rewards that diverse teams produce and our own portfolio is further proof.
We have a national moment now where we can advance upon equality, justice and inclusion. Here are my thoughts on the immense opportunity ahead of us for both personal and financial growth if we do it right:
